Epidemic Of Dissatisfaction
Roughly ten percent (10%) of the world’s population and thirty percent (30%) of seniors suffer from a hearing loss, but according to MarkeTrack 2004, only twenty four percent (24%) of those with hearing loss actually have hearing aids. That means seventy six percent (76%) of people with a hearing loss do not own a hearing aid.

Research indicates that hearing aid users are simply not happy with their current hearing aids. Furthermore, many hearing aid users are downright frustrated that they paid a lot of money for a product that under delivers.

While consumer electronics, like DVD players or personal computers, typically are introduced with a high price and then gradually become more affordable to the masses as time passes, the hearing aid industry seems to have experienced the opposite effect. Hearing aid prices continually rise, making the typical high-end device out of reach for the average patient. High-end hearing aids can cost over $5,000 per pair. Some hearing aids may cost over $8,000 per pair without even revolutionary technology!
