Solves the occlusion problem

Today, many hearing instrument users are bothered by occlusion, which causes the sound of the user’s own voice to be distorted. Normally it helps to use an “open” hearing instrument fitting, which allows more air to enter the ear. Hearing aids with open fittings are typically used with mild and moderate hearing losses, or with people who have problems hearing high-frequency sounds. But with open fittings it can be difficult to obtain sufficient amplification without the hearing aid whistling.

Canta7 Open solves the problem and provides users comfortable sound in all everyday listening situations. For users who either have strong hearing loss or difficulties in hearing high-frequency sounds, dispensers normally use a closed hearing aid fitting with an ear mould entirely contained within the ear canal. This is also the case with the Canta7 Open.

Two specially designed algorithm packages

GN ReSound offers two specially designed algorithm packages for the Canta7 Open instrument. The first solution is designed for open fittings, the second for closed. If hearing instrument users start with open fitting and their hearing ability later changes, dispensers can simply adjust the hearing aids with the second algorithm package.
